Happy *PEACE filled New Year

With the torrential non stop rain comes the frogs....
And their continuous song.

The children love them especially these green tree ones.

Happiness is, caring and sharing.
Grandchildren, Shiarn to Izaiah.

This Mr Froggy is displaying the Sign of PEACE..

The world does not have peace, although it's what EVERY person desires.

But knowing Jesus can give peace to the heart in troubled times as we place our faith and trust in Him.

Jesus tells us in His Word:
"Peace I leave with you;
My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled
and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)

To keep immersed in Gods Word, feeds and water's the parched soul.

There should be no divisions between different Christian faiths.
No Hostility...
There should be Peace!!

"For Christ himself has brought peace to us.
He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when,
In his own body on the cross,
He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us."
Ephesians 2:14

PEACE... what a beautiful word...

Jesus died to unite us in Himself...
And yet He still knew the wicked heart of man..

Jesus Said....
“Brother will betray brother to death,
and a father his child;
children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
You will be hated by everyone because of me,
but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."
Matthew 10:21-22

Peace, keep the Peace!!
Don't argue,.. Pray!
Forgive and Love.

PEACE BE STILL....

Romancing Christmas

Unwrapping the Gift of Christmas, is my grandson Luke.

We have romanced Christmas with our western culture.
We think of it with beautiful Carols, the Nativity Scene and gaily wrapped presents.

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me one who will be
ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old,
                         from ancient times." (Micah 5:2)

It is no accident that the man chosen to be Jesus father on earth, Joseph,  was "of the house and lineage of David"
(Luke 2:4) and that Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

"Joseph went to Bethlehem to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born."
(Luke 2:5-6)

I cannot imagine the young Mary walking all that way from
Nazareth to Bethlehem while heavily pregnant.
It was a three to four day trip, and as a woman I can empathise with her. I understand how she gave birth, after that long and tedious journey. How difficult!
We are not told she rode on a donkey??
We are not told her age?
But this was her first baby, and there were no luxuries.
No doctors or nurses to assist with the birth.
No pretty clothes or crib.
Only drudgery and hardship.

How different for us who worship Him, the King of Glory.
We don't suffer to celebrate our Savours birth.

We eat to bursting.
We relax in the comforts of our homes.
We are entertained by lovely Christmas Carols.
We romance the birth of Christ.

Do we fully understand? Do we fully appreciate???

God's son was born in hardship.

We need to contemplate on these things..

The Heavens Declare

"Happy Christmas from my home to yours."

"May the Son of God, Shine on You."

We have been experiencing tropical storms and flash flooding.
We are expecting more over Christmas.
BUT, nothing can diminish the thought,
Of what Christ did in coming into the world.
Jesus, The Only Begotten Son of God,  was Born!!
No other faith can proclaim what Christianity can.

"OH Come Let Us Adore Him, Christ the Lord."

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork." Psalm 19:1

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
Psalm 14:1-3

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Phillipians 4:4

"I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.

I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.

You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,
I have sworn to David my servant,

I will establish your line forever
and make your throne firm through all generations."
Psalm 89: 1-4

Casting Crowns - Who Am I

WHO AM I??
I am nothing compared to Him.
He is everything!!
And as we celebrate His Joyous first arrival in our world.
We remember Who He Is.
The King of Kings and Lord Of Lords.
The one who didn't need to come, yet still came.
The one who GAVE His everything, for us.

Glory to God in the Highest....Praise His name.

Awesome Encounter

Some of you may believe this and some may not.
However, it is true.
My husband left the house early this morning to play golf.
I remained in bed until around 7:30am.
Something woke me up and I looked straight into the hallway.
I got a glimpse of the side then back of a huge wiry man, departing.
He had muscly arms and seemed to be wearing a white t-shirt.
I only saw the top half before he was gone.
There was no sound and I felt no fear.
I knew instantly I had seen an angel..
Needless to say, I was awe struck...
If I had been facing the wall and windows I'd have missed him..
The wonder of this encounter was mind boggling.
Over the years I have witness the spiritual realm on various occasions.
Perhaps you have also.
If so, then tell me your story..

"Praise the Lord, all his angels,

you mighty beings who carry out his orders
and are ready to obey his spoken command."
Psalm 103:20 <><

Sign's

I live near a busy main highway were fatalities take lives on a regular basis.
Who will be next? Who can tell? If we knew, people would take better care.
Who wants to end up with injuries, brain damage, in a wheelchair or worse.
No-one knows the day of the hour of their death!!!
Yet many think they can live as they like, with no repercussions.
NOT SO....

Who can safely drink and drive?
Who can speed when no one is looking and ALWAYS get there faster?

Having been an Emergency Room Sister, I know only too well, the disaster of such a mentality.

Recently this was placed in our local newspaper.
A sign depicting what can happen if you don't take care.
Do people take note of these signs?
I hope and pray it makes them think!
Because.
More fatal accidents happen in the holidays, than any other time.
WARNINGS,  WARNINGS
Does anyone heed them?
The next sign is asking parents to watch their children.
Why should there be such signs?
Because whenever anything happens to a child, the parent says,
"I thought they were with so and so."
What!!! Responsibility is that of the parent!
Not someone else.

SIGNS..................

And here is the most important sign of all time.

ONE WAY......There is ONLY one way to Heaven, the place everyone wants to go to at death....
YES, many may be smart and jokingly say they don't care!!!
But death is no joke,  it can't be taken back,  it is final!

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;
and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
Do you believe this?”
John 11:24-25

Jesus asked the question.
"Do you believe this???

I ask it also.....Do you?

Miracle Magnesium

Illness is like a Crocodile, it wants to devour!

You can't kill it, but you can capture and try to control it, with Gods help.

"He sent out his Word (Jesus) and healed them, snatching them from the door of death."
Psalms 107:20. NIV

I felt ill all day on Thursday.
Being a very sensitive person I take on board everyone else's problem..
I pray for them and pain for them.
I have to continually remind myself...
"HEY, you are not God, stop trying to do His business!!!
I am a person who, ..... Loves too Much...
I have also been the Scapegoat for others who feel life and God have dished them a raw deal.

So on Thursday it all caught up...
Plus I forgot to take my usual 25mg Lopressor (Metropolol)B.D.
I believe very much in natural therapy and for years have taken Magnesium.
Yet...this also had been run out of and not replaced...

Everything is for a reason and a purpose and sometimes God wants to get our attention.
How better than to make us STOP!
And stop I did... I couldn't do anything else.
My heart raced, my blood pressure rose, and I felt so very ill.
(SERVER'S ME RIGHT, I should know better)
I suffered resting for a few hours...MAD, but medical people always, assess themselves.
(PLEASE, if this ever happens to you,  get to a hospital)

Finally I remembered the blood pressure medication and took it.
Ah..that made me feel a bit better...but I still wasn't well!
Next day I hit on it!
MAGNESIUM...I needed it.
Not with calcium as we have plenty of that in our water...
Just Magnesium!
Got the tablets and took them... Now I am feeling so much better.

Still need to rest some and drink plenty of water..

Praise God.

Many people don't realise the value of Magnesium (Epsom Salts)
It is God given though minerals.

Magnesium can help those who suffer with Chronic fatigue syndrome, Heart disease, Angina, High blood pressure, Poor circulation, Stress, Depression and anxiety, Poor sleep, Constipation, Muscle cramps, Migraine headaches, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Asthma, Diabetes, Facial and eye twitching, Muscle tightness, and many other health problems.

Nostalgia

I’m feeling a little nostalgic today.
We have been getting a lot of rain with showers, downfalls and flooding in some area's.
In Queensland the heat prevails. Christmas comes to Australia in the summertime. There is no white Christmas, so much of the traditional fare we see overseas is not the same here. I enjoy looking at all the American Blog’s and seeing the homes all dressed up. It certainly does make if different.

We are casual and laid back. Some may put up a Christmas tree and place a few decorations about, but it is not like the colder countries.
Windows and doors are open and ceiling fan whirl.

Christmas Day may be spent outdoor on a picnic or at the beach. Anywhere cool!!

How was Christmas back a hundred years ago?
Now one thing I think you’ll agree, they wore too many clothes..
I cannot image going to the beach dressed like this. Thank God for progress.

                                            Coogee Beach 1800's

                                                                       Bush Picnic 1920's

As a child growing up in a small country community, we made our own Christmas decorations. Christmas Bush grew in the plenty, it was pretty and it cost nothing.
We picked bunches of this and placed it around the home. For me today, it is the one thing I miss. Of course it still grows but it lacks the child enthusiasm of picking, bringing it home and placing it into large jar's with water.

The children have their Christmas holidays of six weeks home from school, before the new school year begins.
So its off for some fun in the sun.

All over the world past and present we celebrate the Christmas season in different ways. Yet the meaning remains the same.
It's not how we celebrate but why we do.
God came to earth. He revealed himself in the flesh.
He lived a human life. He dwelt among us..
He didn't only tell us how to live. He showed us how..
He forgave and He loved. We are His family, when we believe in Him.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
(Isaiah 9:6)

                            Hallelujah

Who AM I ?

God tells me and you..

Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart."

Some of where I come from was Wales, UK.
(Left) great grandmother Charles (maternal) with her daughter and new husband, plus other family members.

I was the fourth child of five born to my Australian mother and English father.

My mother with her five children. I am in front on the right.
Looking at this photo today I realised all of our body language is tilted towards our mother. We were all very close to her.
Mum taught us a faith by example.
Our life revolved around God.

The country home we grew up in south western New South Wales.
My sister stands outside and I took this photo with her brownie camera.
This sister has always been my best encourager in my faith, she has never wavered.

Our background can form us for better or worse.
I came from a strong Christian background and for this I am thankful.
However, ultimately it is up to us and our choices as to where we go in life.
Today it is popular to pass the blame for doing the wrong thing onto someone else.
When I grew up we made the best of our lives and if  it went wrong we shouldered our own responsibility.
There was no passing the buck.
I have made good choices and bad ones, the same as you.
Learning lessons is what has been important.
Growing in wisdom and maturity, knowing when you are wrong and admitting it, and asking and accepting forgiveness, makes for a healthy life.
No one is perfect.. I certainly am not!!!

I get distressed sometimes when people judge.
They think I have the perfect life and it is all together,
just because I laugh much of the time.
Not So....!!
What I do have is a strong unwavering faith.
A faith instilled in me from a child.
Some children choose to turn away. I choose to stay.

Genesis 8:1, And God Remembered.................(Us)!!
From eight to eighteen years of age. I grew up without a father.
This was no excuse for me to do the wrong thing.
I was not forgotten. Because God remembered.

You are not forgotten either.
God Always Remembers!!!
