Prophetic Dream ?

So strange!
As we go into winter (Australia), many of you approach summer...
I always think what a wonderful world be have.

And how diverse.
So much is happening everywhere.

My daughter Daniella came over to cheer me up today, and left me some beautiful praise and worship songs on a DVD.

I told her about a disturbing dream I had last night.

First of all, I was in a massive church and it was full of love and good people.
Next, I was in a market place, sort of in, the Middle East.
A sheep.... a full grown lamb, was displayed up on a shelf..
The horrible part was, it had been skinned alive, and was still alive.
It was unrecognizable, but I knew what it was.
I was stunned, shocked and very distressed about this, and am still.
Then I woke up.

Daniella said. "Well mum, Jesus was the lamb that was slain, yet still lives. Have you thought about that."
I had to admit, I hadn't.
"Pray about this Mum, ask God to show you what it all meant," she said.
SO I am now believing for an answer.

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
 Isaiah 53:5

In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on men
as they slumber in their beds,

My Oz - Australia

Do you ever have times when you can't seem to get your head around every day things?
Well I have been there for a few weeks...its called stress.
So I probably haven't visited as much as I should have and I certainly haven't written as much.
Everything seems just too difficult.

Susie, another Blogger is having a Post Card Party.
That sounds easy I thought, I can do that.
But I have already given up and decided to just post some Ozzie pictures instead.
We Australians call ourselves Ozzies... and our country is Oz..

We are laid back creatures and take life as it comes..
A bit like our koala.

Most of us have a mad sense of humour and laugh at almost everything, even ourselves.
I suppose thats why we got landed with this laughing bird, the kookaburra.  Who likes to drive us crazy.

These are our Diggers (soldiers), and we treat them with respect and dignity.

The ocean is a large part of Ozzie life and we have thousands of miles of untamed beaches.
No News report is finished before surfing and ocean conditions are completed.

There may be some unwanted visitors to keep an eye out..
I found an unwarranted trust in them because they look so harmless.
I'm sure thats why people get taken, they don't believe they will be.

Out in the wild, these 'Roo's can be dangerous also.           Don't be fooled.

I love the pelicans. They are majestic and proud, yet always expect the fishermen to feed them.

Come and visit Australia.

Growing Up in Christ

My son Lee-Joel phoned me last night. He now lives closer to Brisbane due to work commitments.
When he calls he says, "Hello Mamma mia, hows my mummy feeling today."
It makes me feel so special and loved.

Lee was born the youngest of my four children and was cherished by all of us.
I watched God perform some mighty feats through him.

When he was about six years old he developed glandular fever and was very sick.
At that time I was unaware of the fact that I myself, could lay hands on him and pray for his recovery.
Yet one morning he lay beside me in my bed, crying because he felt so ill.
I placed my hands on his head and prayed for God to heal him.
I was only a few days later that he was able to return, fully healed, to school.
Lee-Joel with his niece, my granddaughter Kirra

Not long after this, my son-in-law played in the music team at a Christian revival.
We attended and during the altar call Lee became lost in the huge throng of people.
He was found outside the tent with a counselor, committing his life to Christ.

I used to buy bibles by the box to give out to people, Lee wrapped one in pretty paper and took it to give to his school teacher as a gift.

The following year the next teacher he had, phoned me and asked me to come visit her, she wanted to speak with me.  I learned from her, that she found the bible in her cupboard. Inside was the inscription, from Lee to the other teacher.
I was able to witness to this teacher and eventually, she and her mother and aunt visited our church and gave their lives to Jesus. The bible became hers.

It was around this time that Lee asked me if he could be baptised.
When he asked me about this I didn't know what to do or say a his father was against it. So I contacted my sister and told her.  My sister and her husband lived a long way from us so rarely visited. They made a special trip and as Elders in their own church, decided it was fitting for them to baptise Lee in our bath tub. What a beautiful time it was.

Lee has grown up to have a strong faith in the Lord.
Like myself, he has a deep spiritual understanding about God.

My daughter Daniella, with son Lee-Joel.

Lee takes time out to listen to his own little boy Izaiah.

The family who prays together, stays together.

This was Lee's special bible verse while growing up..... He would recite it all the time.
"I can do all things,  through Christ which strengtheneth me"
Phillipians 4:13

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-3

My Unshakeable Faith

I feel sorry for people who have never had, spiritual experiences.
My mother and grandparents, had a strong belief in our Creator God.
Yet as a child, I didn't fully comprehend, what they were on about.
I was sent to Sunday School, where I was taught much on Bible Stories, learned wonderful songs/hymns and how to recite scripture verses. However, this was all taught to my mind.
At the time, it didn't sink into my heart.
That was to say, not until in my late teens when I entered nursing. At this time I had a close friend, Yvonne, brought up by Salvation Army Officer parents. We both entered the same hospital, as well as doing everything else together. One evening Yvonne took me with her to a church rally. It was during the service that an alter call came, asking for people to give their lives to Christ. I broke down, I cried and cried as the congregation sang, "Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come."

I vividly remember walking down that long aisle to kneel at the alter, and give my life to Christ.
Yet, my memory actually goes back before this, to a day when I heard a booming voice from the sky, call my name.
Nine years old and home alone on our small farm, I was out in the feed shed.
No radio or television was going and there was no one close by.
Yet my name was called so loudly, I ran outside and looked up.
I knew at that moment, God knew all about me.
Over the years I have had, numerous unexplainable experiences.

Another which stands strongly, was experienced following a difficult birth of my last child.
I was kept in hospital longer than normal, due to a thrombosis (blood clot) in my upper leg.
I also went into kidney failure which presented with swelling to my body and face.
Finally home again I felt very tired and extremely ill.

I felt alone because my then husband, was not a man who considered he should help.
One night, he went to play tennis. The baby lay in his crib at the side of the bed, and my other three children watched television.
I was weak and helpless. Laying back on the pillows I closed my eyes and prayed for Jesus to come and stand beside my bed.
Feeling a presence, and thinking it was one of the children, I opened my eyes.
Standing looking down at me was a tall man.
His white almost transparent robe covered his head. He held a Sheppard crook in His hand.
I couldn't see his face as it was shrouded in shadow.
As I stared transfixed, he walk towards the bedroom door and out into the well lit hallway.
Suddenly I remembered my prayer.

Yes! Jesus fulfilled my request, and came to me.
He came as a Sheppard who cares for his sheep.

My youngest baby, all grow up as a man today..  Lee-Joel and I.

The Dead Sea Scolls Bible Proof.

Many people ask the question!
Can you prove the Bible is true?
How do you know it is?
Show me the evidence!

Well my question to them is.......
How can you prove the Bible is not true??
It seems many have tried to disprove it, and have failed.

I have recently listened to a professor speak on the magnificent find of the Dead Sea Scrolls,

What an amazing discovery of Bible truths.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of about 900 documents, including texts from the Hebrew Bible, discovered between 1947 and 1956 in eleven caves in and around the ruins of the ancient settlement of Khirbet Qumran on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea in the West Bank.

In 1947 a young Bedouin boy decided to climb the face of some very high cliff's near the Dead Sea, to bring back his stray goats.
His name was Juma and little did he realize his discovery of two small openings to one of the
thousands of caves within the cliff, would hold a secret hidden for thousands of years.
He threw a rock into one of the openings. Hearing an unexpected cracking sound, he suspecting treasure hidden within and called to his two cousins, Khalil and Muhammed. They climbed up to listen to his exciting tale.
The younger of the three boys investigated further a few days later and was saddened to find  nothing but broken old clay pots and pieces of old parchment.
Collectively found in total were 15,000 fragments from some 574 manuscripts...
All carefully written, recorded and safely stored for future discovery.

The scrolls those Bedouin boys removed would  later come to be recognized as the greatest manuscript treasure ever found.
The Dead Sea Scrolls--------
Proof of the Bible's existence and the truth of God's Word!!

God loves his children, you and I. Many people have bad experiences, in the name of religion.
Due to this, and from the hurt, some fall away.
Let me say. No sin is bigger than another. Sin is sin... and we are all sinners.

Even Mary, Jesus own mother admitted herself a sinner.
In her own words she said.

"My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour."
Luke 1:46
What a beautiful  person of faith, and an example, for many.

Jesus was sinless, as he carried his fathers blood. Many children carry the blood of their father rather than their mother.
As a nurse, I know this is so.
As a mother, I am an R H Factor negative blood grouping, whereas my children are all positive.

I hope your heart is not hardened...
I pray you believe.

A Different Kind of Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day............. From the Corella's

We have hundreds of these birds living in our town..   Oh to be, as free as a bird.
Wouldn't it be lovely to fly. To just move on when you feel like it.
No packing and no preparation. Just take off..   The world is theirs.

Tomorrow is Mothers Day, and for myself and many, it will be a different kind.
Our children grow and move on with their own families.

My elder daughter Femia, has grown-up children, and her own daughter has been married for two years now.
So, what to do on Mothers Day. Femia's elder daughter Kirra and her husband Ben will visit, between church times.  Femia's husband David is also a part of the church music team, so this restricts.
Femia won't be here for Mothers Day.  Instead, she will visit me on Tuesday.

Both of my son's live a long way off, so they won't be here.

That leaves my younger daughter Daniella. She will be here..and we are going on a picnic after church.
Daniella has two grown son's.  The eldest lives and works in New South Wales.
Her younger son Elyshah and her daughter Shiarny, will celebrate with her.

Time travels on and life changes for all of us.

My own mother is in a Nursing Home and won't have her children there either.
I will phone her, and my nephew will visit her.

But, I can't leave out my other little ones.
                                           Mille                    and                   Marley
They both vi for mums attention..
And Monty,
This little old man (7yrs) looks on and smiles wisely.

He is so funny. I have entered him into a Cute Pet contest.

Mothers Day can also be a time for woman without children.
Having pets makes up for that, as we have them to nurture.

"He settles the childless woman in her home
as a happy mother of children."
Praise the Lord. Psalm 113:9

My Queensland Garden

We are now into May and the last month of Autumn.
The nights are beginning to get nippy and I am into my cosy jammies.
But the days are lovely and warm.
The rains have stopped for the moment, and I am hoping it stays that way as far as floods are concerned.
But the garden is thriving.
Everything grows so well.
I only have to look at it, to feel happy.
Ray has done a marvelous job.
The red flowering trees are the poinsettias. On the top side of the house.
We had one tree at the side of the house. I trimmed it back and planted three of the pieces on the side fence.
Now I have a wonderful show of colour.

This bush is my favoured and also the butterflies.

                                   These are called candle sticks.

A wise Indian (Cherokee I'd like to think) sits and smokes his peace pipe
                      under our front stairs.

All to Jesus I Surrender

Surrender - Let God - Give In - Trust.

What do you care about the most?
What is the one thing, you would never want to give up?

I thought about this.
And I had to say, my children.
It would be the hardest thing ever, to give up, never, ever to see again, my children.

For a parent, this is probably the answer most will give.

Yet when you think and think about this you have to remember the sacrifice of Abraham.
He and Sarah, were in old age, one hundred years old, when Isaac was born.

They waited for so long.
And then, Abraham is told by God to sacrifice his son....give him back.
Not many of us could do that. I believe I would bargain my own life, for that of my child.

In this song, we sing, I surrender all.
If we truly mean those words, then we should heed them.

It rang true for me.
Instead of stressing out about them, we should pray about them, and leave them with God.
He is more capable and more able, to care for them, better than we can.
