At Mackay Queensland, Australia

I am still here with my son Peter in Mackay, Queensland.
Thank you to those who have prayed for him. I have seen Gods hand at work many times since arriving.
Peter would not like me to tell exactly what his health problems have been.
However, let me share, how God has intervened.

Peter was almost out of one of his meds. he has been on this particular one for about a year. Since its one that has been repeated, I knew his doctor could just write him a script to pick up.

(God 1) "Not so," said the doctor.... "I want to know more about the reason for taking this before I do."
Okay then, I said to my son, phone the specialist, he has known you a long time, he will write it out for you.

(God 2) No, said this doctor also, "I want you to see another specialist, his name is Dr..... and my secretary will send you the day and time of your appointment with him."

(God 3) I began to wonder...as I have not seen this happen before?? What is it about this medication??

(God 4) I felt led to look up the Contra Indications of the medication my son was taking!
I discovered, the major problem my son has been suffering from, and had to have a procedure to fix, was caused by this med! He has two other minor problems ALSO caused by the same tablets..
Okay.I would be going with him now to see this new specialist....and that med, would be changed pronto.

(God 5) As soon as we entered this new specialists office, I could clearly see a doctor who cares for his patients. We sat in a room much like a cafe... with tables and chairs, a radio playing softly, an urn with hot water, tea, coffee, biscuits and cake...for us to help ourselves to.  Even the receptionist was homely and sweet.
(God 6) The Doc arrived after being held up at the hospital a short time, and YES, after I explained the reason WHY,............ my sons meds were changed....
Hallelujah... The new meds are kicking in and Peter is beginning to be, his old joking happy self.
Peter lives in a Paradise Resort...in one of sixty bungalows spread over acres of land.
He is a stones throw from the beautiful Pacific ocean.

Last night we had a visitor (Possum)  come inside for some love and a feed.
I was terrified, but Peter took over.

He has been cleared to return to work and can't wait to get back on the road.

Peter works as a Coach Captain taking groups on tours and men out to work in our remote area mines.

Isaiah 65:24 The Lord says:
“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”

Whats Important In Life???

Its not important to be

BEAUTIFUL,

POPULAR
or
WEALTHY....

BUT, it is important to abide in JESUS
with
FORGIVENESS
and
LOVE.....

Without any Condemnation.

Today I am reminding myself that...

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law."
Galations 5:22-23

I am currently staying with my son Peter who needs prayer for his health and well being. I may not be able to visit my friends on here as much as I'd like.
Please say a prayer for us.
Much love Crystal.

SKUNKS -

Living in TN was my first experience ever, with the smell of skunk.
WOW!! That Smell !!
Ray didn't say anything about it, and at first I didn't like to ask him what it was.
Ladies, are suppose to be well mannered and not talk about such things.
When I couldn't resit any longer, I asked, and he told me..
Perhaps he thought we had them in Australia and I would know?

One day while driving along a deserted road on our way to a funeral, Ray stopped the SUV and hopped out.  He wanted to surprise me, and came back with three tiny gorgeous little creatures.
Informing me they were baby skunks and that some people reared them as pets, he told me how their scent glands were removed to prevent problems. But at this young age he assured me.... they didn't spray.

Of course, I believed everything I was told, after all, Ray was an American, so he knew...
Or did he?

He let the babies go in some undergrowth and got back into the drivers seat.....
ALONG WITH THAT SMELL.
Oh no!
It was getting late for our appointment, so we had to continue on.

Outside in the graveyard, the smell wasn't as evident.
But when we went back to the house of the family, it was!

I sat on a lounge with a sweet lady I had just met, while Ray mingled.
Every now and again, someone tentatively wriggled their nose and remarked, "I can smell skunk."
I could hardly keep a straight face.
I'm one of those people who laugh at almost everything..
Finally one of the men cottoned on and asked sternly, "Where have you been Raymond?"
I finally burst out laughing..
And then, the good thing was so did many others when they learnt what he had done.

Seeing this beautiful picture on Facebook, brought the memory flooding back.

A Sweet Fragrance

2 Corinthians 2: 14-16
"Now wherever we go he uses us to tell others about the Lord and to spread the Good News like a sweet perfume.
Our lives are a fragrance presented by Christ to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those being saved and by those perishing.
To those who are perishing we are a fearful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved we are a life-giving perfume."

Looking Back

Many of you write wonderful memories from your past, and I love reading about them.
I believe my happiest years were those of being a mother to my growing children.
For those of you who don't know, I had five children, the first awaits me in Heaven.
My other four are Femia, Peter, Daniella and Lee-Joel.

Those were my busiest and happiest days.
For fifteen years before my first marriage ended, I worked in a family business.
These were busy times with nothing from house cleaning to laundry, shopping and running children to sports left neglected. Many of my friends would ask me how I did it, as my large five bedroom home was always in perfect order. To tell the truth, it was a joy to keep everything in order.

My then enormous kitchen/eatery with my two son's Lee and Peter (left), followed by son-in-law David peeking around my nephew, another Peter. The other three are nephews and a niece.

One afternoon after school on a day I wasn't at work, my younger daughter Daniella ran into the kitchen all excited. She held a brochure in her hand, and proudly informed me, she had got it especially for me because it was just what I needed. It was for a newly opened Nursing Home. At the time I was about forty years old.

In those active years, I was never overweight. My children would cuddle into me when seated on the lounge watching television. I always received compliments. One day one of my children informed me, I was nice and fat and as soft as a pillow. LOL...

At another time I was told about a visitor who had attended the school that day. "She was old like you mum, only fatter...."  How our children see us...

Of course there were the times they had to wear a used ice-cream tub on their head for protection from the magpie attacks. These were taken off and left near the country bus stop to put on again to wear for the short walk home in the afternoon.

I taught scripture classes each week at the local school.
I believe I learned as much from the children, as they did from me. Telling the story of Joseph and Mary one day, I asked the class if they knew what a Chippy (carpenter) was? One little boy informed me, "he is a man who lays carpet Miss."
Another child once gave me a lovely hand made card for Easter. On the front was written, Jesus Died for Mrs C.....  my then name. This hit me profoundly! And at that moment, I fully understood the truth of those words. YES! Jesus died for me.... and YOU!

I loved to make art works. This is my Copper rendition of.. the birth, baptism and resurrection of Jesus.

I had wonderful sister-in-laws who I loved, and still do. This was taken at a New Year Party 1994, the only one I have ever been to.

Life continues on, and memories linger.
