If I had My Life To Live Over !

I'd pick more Daisies...

If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time. I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I'm one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely, hour after hour, day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had to do it over again, I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day.
I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.
If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.

And... I would sit back and trust God more with my troubles.

  1. I'm not one to ponder on "what ifs," though an interesting concept for one who would wish to have their life over again. For me, I truly wouldn't change a thing, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I really do mean that. I am who I am, because of God and I am today exactly where He wants be to be. I love, honour and thank my Father in Heaven for taking sacrificing so much for me, for loving me and always watching over me and taking such good care of me.

  2. Beautiful words and beautiful images. I have no regrets in life as they've made me who I am. But I would smell more daisies and laugh more ;-)

  3. I suspect that if we'd follow the last line better, the rest would come on their own! Bless you.

  5. Thank you for this blog. If I had my life to live over ... I would be more confident, less shy and every day to walk with God. Like Enoch.

    Knuf/hug.

  6. I do not think it is ever to late to do any of the things you listed....it is the now that is our joy...not the past(although some memory's can be a part of today's joy)or the future.Take off your shoes, dance, pick some daises. Grab an ice cream cone...double dip it.
