A QUEEN IN EVERY WAY

Queen Elizabeth the second, is a queen in every way.
Never, has she brought a single blot on the Royal family.
I have always admired her good manners and breeding.
Now she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee and we in Australia celebrate with her.
She is our monarch and has earned the respect of all of us.

As a child, I stood in line every morning at school while the Australian flag was raised and we sang,
God Save the Queen....

  3. That's a wonderful picture of Queen Elizabeth. She certainly has seen a lot of changes in society in her lifetime, but has remained a constant herself. She's to be admired. I celebrate with you. xo

  4. I remember reading once, about a woman in a too-tight gown who curtsied too deeply before the queen. She instantly realized that she wasn't going to be getting back upright without some help. Suddenly, she was aware that the queen still had hold of her hand and was pulling her discreetly to her feet. She was both thankful and amused that the queen realized her plight and reacted.

  6. Hi Crystal,

It is great to read your tribute to our wonderful queen. She is an amazing woman and I agree with what you and others on here have said about her. Jesus is the name above all names and the King of Kings, but Elizabeth the second, has served Him and her commonwealth well, I believe.

  9. Dear Crystal, through all the years, since I first saw pictures of Elizabeth during World War II, I've admired her. She is just a few years older than I and during the war she inspired me. Thanks for your tribute to her. Peace.

  11. Crystal...being a British citizen living in the United States, I appreciated your tribute to our queen. I remember several years ago standing in Lime Street train station in Liverpool, in the north of England, waiting for her royal train to arrive. The train stopped & the red carpet was rolled out along the platform. She stepped out on to it with grace & poise- two qualities that have characterized her reign.

  12. The Queen is a favourite of mine. It will be a long time before anyone reigns with the blemish free record she holds. I'm always moved by the lifelong dedication she brought to the role and the unwavering stand she's held since. No wonder she's admired by millions. :)
