Only Him

Proverbs 3:6
"In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your paths."

Coming though what I have in the last two months reminds me of the above scripture.
Sometimes even though we  think we are walking Gods way, we are not completely.
At least I haven't been.

I listened to a sermon on selfishness by an English Pastor...
And my own selfish and self seeking desires stared me straight in the face.
I have been well for over a week now and the turning point came when I recognized how ugly I am.

Then for two days I wrestled with self loathing, and I sank right to the pit of despair.
I could see myself so clearly. My whinging and seeking for self first.
I have to write this, not so all of you will tell me I am not so bad.
But to admit I am a sinner, and no better than the very worst.

Please Lord, let me use the two ears I have, to listen more to the needs of others.  Hold my mouth closed, so I speak less about my own needs and listen more to the needs of others.

Turn me from an ugly caterpillar into a butterfly for your use..

  2. Some days we really understand just where we are at in our walk. I hope we all get days like that so we can do what we need to do. By God's grace he shows us what we can bear and helps us to move forward if we let him. We are all on the same journey. Hugs. xx

  4. Thanks God for he always reminds us to be thankful. I am sure you are not alone with those kinds of thoughts sometimes. But, we have a forgiving and understanding God.
Bless your heart dear. Thanks for the heartfelt and inspirational prayer too.

  5. Eventho it can be disturbing, it's great when a message convicts us. I feel we need these types of messages to recognize where we are weak and where we need to change. God never thinks we're ugly, we think we're ugly!! He blessed you with this word, now you can get busy turning this into a beautiful butterfly!!((hugs))
