In all my years working as a Registered Nurse where I specialized in Mental Health and Emergency Medicine, I saw the pain people struggle to overcome.
This didn’t only comprise of physical pain, it was also the mental, psychological, emotional, and spiritual pain.
I won’t speak of physical pain. We have all felt this.
Mental Pain: Mental health is vastly misunderstood. Getting help for it, or admitting you need help and seeking it, is something that seems shameful. This pain is suffered by a person who is different to normal. The person who feels paranoid all the time. They hear a laugh and think it’s directed towards them. Or the Newsreader on the television looks up directly at the camera, saying the police are on the lookout. The paranoid person wants to hide because they think it's about them. Mental pain.
Psychological Pain: Believing in the unseen or unknown to the point where it begins to cause physical pain. A person categorizing intense pain to the place of believing it’s something it's not. Some, have committed suicide believing without evidence, that they have an incurable disease when they haven’t.
Emotional Pain: You don’t know which way to turn. You have just learned you or someone you love, have a month to live. You cry, you plead for help, and your emotions get beyond you. It shows in your life, and it affects those closest to you. OR you live with a narcissist who deliberately does things to make you feel like you are going crazy when you are not.
Spiritual Pain: knowing that you have committed wrongs in your life that are not in accordance with God’s Will. We are convicted in our heart when we do wrong, but for some, they are convinced that God can never forgive them, and they suffer exceedingly. (Admitting to God and asking forgiveness is the release from this, yet many can’t believe God can be so merciful.) GOD IS LOVE and MERCY.
HELP: Here is where in retirement I reach out through my books to inspire and encourage the reader to see past problems. To come to that place where they are able to see the treasured love of God. HE who never sleeps and forever loves them.
It's only when you have suffered yourself, that you can speak from knowledge and understanding. With my own life experiences and then working and seeing the suffering in other human hearts, I CHOOSE to make a difference. And from reviewers of my books, I can see that I touch souls with HOPE….. (With help from the Holy Spirit).
