The GREAT OutBack of Australia

Unless you have travelled to the Australian Outback, you have no idea of its magnitude or magnificence. Australia is the same size as the USA, yet not as populated. The orange brown interior shown on this map, is all Outback.

When hubby Ray and I returned from the U.S. to reside in tropical Queensland, the first thing Ray wished to do was travel around and see more of the country.
An animal and bird lover he ran after everything he saw.

The Emu, flightless large bird, who will chase you in return.

He had no idea of the expanse of our interior. Neither was he aware of it's dangers. Needless to say at times I was terrified when he disappeared off to explore alone.

Some of our highlights were:
Those enormous trucks called ROADTRAINS.

The colourful landscape.
                                  Unique rock formations.
                            Wild animal herds everywhere.
                                   Lonely homesteads.
I love the solitude, nature, peace, and especially the stars at night.

The WILD, AMAZING, AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK

The Australian Outback is HUGE and truly AMAZING.

You drive for hundreds of miles without seeing a soul.

Australia is the same size as the United States, yet the

interior is arid so people live mainly around the perimeter.

There are 10,685 BEACHES in Australia.

It's been a few years since Ray and I travelled Outback,

yet seeing the photos brings it all back.

Can you imagine having to STOP and WAIT on a highway for

a cattle drive to pass.

Herds of WILD Camels, Goats, Kangaroos and Emus PLUS

thousands of different types of Parrots watching your every

move.

This is why I include the amazing OUTBACK in my

ROMANCE stories.
