My Tropical Bush Garden

My favourite Bush

There's great delight in a garden.
With plenty of flowers to see.

Kookaburra's keeping a close watch for snakes...

                                     Lambs tail bottle brush bush.

Pointsettia bush in my side garden.

Rainbow lorakeets visit for a snack.
Their chatter awakens all, very early in the morning.

A native bush, unsure of the name, but a favourite feed with the birds.

For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow.
So the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise to spring up before all nations.... Isaiah 61: 11

  1. Crystal Mary, your garden is gorgeous! And I'm fascinated with the birds, especially the one with the kookaburra. It made me laugh because when I was a child I was in girl scouts and we used to sing a song about a kookaburra. "Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree, eating all the gumdrops he can see. Laugh, kookaburra, laugh, kookaburra leave some there for me." I had forgotten all about that song--didn't even know there was a real kookaburra! I just remembered that I thought it was a happy song. Thanks for the memory!

  2. Hello Sister, Kookaburra's are known as the bush clock. You can tell the time by them. Ours wake us at about 5:30am in summer. I often wonder if they have just enjoyed breakfast. They eat snakes among other things so are a welcome addition to the garden.
The song: We all learn it in school.
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he, laugh kookaburra laugh, kookaburra sing your song of joy to me.
    Bless you.
