Just thought I'd share with you where I live.
Sun sea and sky. Pineapple, avocado, mango and paw paw plantations.
School children are up early and down surfing before breakfast, then home again to don uniforms and head off to school. Its an outdoor life, shoeless with zinc spread over the nose for sun protection.
I just read the other day that the lack of Vitamin D is becoming a problem from too much cover-up protection.
Lack of Vitamin D results in early onset osteoporosis.
The beautiful Pacific ocean with crystal clear waters beckons the body boarder to surf the waves.
Welcome to my little part of the world.

Widow of Raymond Isaac Lindsey..... And an author since 2012 and retired Specialist Registered Nurse. I reside in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia, with my two little dogs.
Late in 2008 I began to explore and enjoy the realm of creative writing. This is something which has always been an interest yet until now,I haven't found time to indulge.
God is the cornerstone of my home and heart. He is my life and my breath, for without Him I am nothing. My desire is to edify His existence in my daily walk through life. To inspire and encourage the broken hearted. And to assist in the knowledge that EVERYTHING has a reason and a purpose under the Heavens.
We are reminded through our faith in Jesus that He will, "Turn our Mourning into Dancing and our Sorrow into Joy." Psalms 30:11. Having personally experienced tough times I know, there is truly no gain without pain.

crystal, i can't begin to imagine such a life...having the beach so close that a child could walk to it? even in my small town there is this overwhelming sense that we are too close to each other, that i need some breathing room!

Calgon, take me away. I am so envious. I love the beach but cannot spend must time in the sun these days. Hypertension. HH and I sit in the morning sun 10 minutes everyday that we can for the VD. Thanks for sharing that.
