Yet NOTHING can compare with Paradise.
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined!
What God has prepared for those who love Him."
Corinthians 2:9
From the Book of Revelation in the Bible.
A descripion is given of Our Home In Heaven.
And the building of the wall of it was jasper: and the city pure gold, like unto clear glass.
And the foundations of the wall of the city garnished with all manner of precious stones.
The first foundation jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city [was] pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Are you prepared to meet God?
Death has no boundaries.
Beautiful images and true words.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered if the Lord means us to take "streets of gold" and gates of precious stones literally, or if He just chose words to overwhelm our puny, finite minds. I've met a few folks that I swear the main reason they want to go to Heaven isn't to re-unite with loved ones or meet the Lord, but to see the fancy stonework! I DO believe, though, that our minds really CAN't conceive its beauty.
ReplyDeleteSo true. And what a nice pictures
ReplyDeleteThere were 2 special Trees in the Garden of Eden: the Tree of Everlasting Life, and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Revelation vision of the new Heaven has a wonderful picture of the "Tree of Life" still growing in Paradise.
ReplyDeleteWhen Adam and Eve were banished from Eden because they ate of the forbidden Tree of Knowledge, the Cherubim were placed at the Gate so they couldn't return and eat of the fruit of the Tree of Everlasting Life.
Access to this tree of everlasting life was made possible again for us when Jesus died on the Tree and the veil of the Temple (with embroidered Cherubim) was rent in two so that all may go in to the Holy of Holies.
I love to sit in a garden and think of what the original Paradise in Eden must have been like in the originally perfect world of creation. Thanks Crystal Mary for the beautiful glimpses you encourage of that perfect world.
Beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful blog. So inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHello Aritha, God bless always.
ReplyDeletePhillip, actually. I have never sat in a garden and thought about that, it will make me think next time. I wouldn't want to meet up with those enormous incredible Cherubin..and have always been fascinated with the tree of life.
Gary, Thank you for reading.
