God In Us...

Coming before the throne of God in adoration and worship
Fills our very being with a sanctification of who we are in Him
Just standing in His awesome presence and allowing His love flow back and forth, is so wondrous....

Yet I feel so small in those times.
And so unworthy.
My heart cries out, Abba Father, help me to remain steadfast,
Strengthen me so that I never let go of your promise.
Shine in and through me...

John 15:1-5
The Vine and the Branches
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
"I am the vine; you are the branches.
If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

This strikes a real chord with me Crystal Mary. A lovely post, as always.

The 'fruit of the Spirit' by which we are supposed to stand apart (in Galatians) are:
    Love, joy, peace,
    Patience, kindness, goodness,
    Faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

There are so many 'Christians' (myself included) that fail the test on nearly every count, but what a reminder to keep us humble and that we cannot get there on our own merits.

The first 3 (Love, Joy, Peace) are so obviously 'gifts' of Grace, and this all came into my mind reading your post - and in particular the lines quoted at the start.

Charlotte, I am reading a wonderful woman(Jeane Guyam 1685) who says to use any scripture we read, reading it very slowly and contemplating on it as a prayer..I did that with this verse and it became so alive...you got it so right..we are dead if he get cut off from Him. Hugs.
