Our TIME Bank

Ecclesiastes 3:1
"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens."

I found this profounding.
(Author unknow.)

Each of us has a BANK.
Its name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

Every night it writes off, whatever you have failed to invest to good purpose.

It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you.

Each night it burns up the left over.

If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back.

There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”.

You must live in the present of today’s deposits.

Invest it to get the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running.......... Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a pre-mature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

And Praise God,
there is NO concern about Time,
In Heaven.

  1. WOW what magnitude this post carries. This should inspire all of us to do more and truly think about how our time is spent. The knowledge of Heaven and the eternal thing called ---- is awesome. There will be no name for TIME because it is not relevant. WOW. Hugs your way, Mollye

  5. Thanks for sharing an great message about our time. It also spoke deeply to me concern how time really does fly.

Indeed in heaven's time it will not be how we would measure time here on earth.

    As Written:
But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8)

Have a great DAY in the Lord
    Paul

  9. LOVE that! And God's timing is always perfect. In our Bible study homework, for today, one of the questions asked if we would be more diligent about our Christian growth (Bible study, prayer, etc.) if we realized how quickly time passes!

  10. Hello All, No we can never get that time back once its gone. Kiss your beloved and tell them you love them, you may never get the time again. Spend time with the Lord, He is worth your time. Find pleasure in the little things in time.... Two of my grandsons are here with me. Messing up the house. What a joy to have them. In a few years they will be married and time for them will then change. Time, every minute is special. God Bless you all. xx

  11. I think about that a lot - that we only have so much time and we don't know how long that is - so use every moment.

My MIL used to say when we were born God gave us a candle and that only he knew the length of it...

    love, sandie

  13. Animals live in the present. Only man frets about the future and the past.

  14. Sometimes we let time pass by with out even smiling to anyone because we are so stress out with our present state. But one thing that I see to it that I won't let a day pass by without thanking our Almighty Father. God is good in either way! Thanks for visiting me and I am a new follower too. Happy weekend!

  17. Funny, I often say I wish there were 48 hours in a day. this made me think, what am I doing with the 86,400 seconds? This reminded me to treasure every moment, to use the time God has given me, not ask for more. Thank you for sharing.
