Sometimes you have to get away from it all.
Ray had a day out playing golf as a visitor at Pelican Waters golf resort.
This is the club of the 'Great White Shark' Greg Norman. I used to live and work at Caloundra, so Ray asked if I'd like to visit my old haunts while he played..
I only lived a ten minute walk from Dickie Beach, where dogs are allowed to frolic on the sand. A mother prepares her children with wet suits for surfing.
It's school holidays and mid winter but the day is too perfect to miss some fun.
The Pandansas Tree.
Most of our beaches have shark nets to ward off attack.
Not all beaches allow dogs as apparently their smell is suppose to entice sharks.
If a school of dolphins are present, you know your safe.. Another sign... Can dogs read I wonder??
My dogs think they are people.
Well its a good place to lift your leg.
Everyone is busy doing their own thing. Walking, fishing and surfing.
It was nice to be back. I have many memories of here. Some good some sad..
It is a beautiful place to live.
Every night I fell asleep with the sound of waves crashing on the sand.
Every morning I wasn't working, I was walking and running along the shore.
For some reason, the pelicans don't visit here??
It was a beautiful day.
But I was glad to drive back home at the end of it..
OH, and Ray came second in A Division.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you have tribulation, but take courage;
I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
It looks lovely. No wonder you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful place!
ReplyDeleteThe color of the water is GORGEOUS! Shark nets? Are they out a ways from the beach area? The shore goes for many miles I would think. So do the nets go the entire length? Interesting things that other areas deal with.
ReplyDeleteI would be sad too if I went back to one of the places where I lived near the beach. I have done so twice and there is nothing like the smell and sounds. Love your photos
ReplyDeleteIs that where you got to yesterday! Looks like it was a lovely day for the beach, missed you though.
ReplyDeleteHi Gorges, It was great.
ReplyDeleteIan, It is.
Lynda, The Pacific is a beautiful colour. And the shark nets go for miles..Some areas don't have them, these do..
Shanda, I still live pretty close to the wild ocean, but no longer here. I love it so much.
Dean, I took the camera to share..
Carol, Was I suppose to be somewhere?? Sorry??
I don't remember it was Monday.. Home today and lots to do. xx
Looks like a very relaxing type of beach. I hope you had a great time.
