How do you feel if you have to wait?
Can you???I often have to wait on my husband Ray.
He will leave me sitting in the car saying, "I'll be back in a minute."
After half an hour he returns.
Does he ever wait for me?? No!!
He takes off and I end up waiting for him again.
We get tired waiting for Someone.
We get tired waiting for Something.
We HATE to WAIT!!
Yet God gives many wonderful promises and rewards about waiting.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Rainbow Lorakeet.
Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD,
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
Wait, Rest, be Patient.... its rewarding!
Koala, Emu, Kangaroos.
Nature knows how to wait better than we do.
Psalm 25:5
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.
In learning to wait, we also learn Trust and Faith.
We Wait for the return of Our Savour.
In that Wait, we need to renew our strength
Not grow weiry, but keeping our hope and faith in Him.
Awesome pictures, especially like the first one. Encouraging heart warming scriptures, thank you for sharing.

Waiting on the Lord is one thing. Waiting in line at the market is entirely something else!

Crystal, what a lovely post. I don't like to wait myself but you've pointed out some very lovely scripture verses that tell us what good things like in store if we wait. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteIts hard to wait. Remember the days we waited for Christmas....and birthdays... many of us only got a gift and a small one, on those days.
ReplyDeleteBut we trusted our parent, that it would be exciting. I have had to wait for a new knee, but now the time is drawing closer, its a bit frightening. Patience and trust stand in good steed. Perhaps having to wait in line in the supermarket is an accident that is prevented??
Love the pics and Scriptures! I would have a good book with me and spend the time reading while waiting!
ReplyDeleteWaiting is hard - for me too - I want it now. But do I really?
ReplyDeleteDear Lord give me patience; but please be quick about it!
ReplyDeleteAustralians don't like to wait. They always celebrate the New Year before the rest of the world.
God bless.
Your blog is beautiful and inspirational. I'm glad I found you!
ReplyDeleteAt least when we are waiting on the Lord we don't have to do nothing...which is often what people expect us to do in waiting for them. The word wait in the bible means to entwine..so we do what it takes..worship, praise, listen with our spirit etc..to entwine ourselves in Him and grow closer to Him.
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal -
ReplyDeleteOh! How assuring are those scriptures!
And I love the photos, especially the one with the group of kangeroos.
