Talking to Jesus

Greg Olsen- Talking to Jesus.             TAKE A LONG LOOK!!!

What a beautiful painting, with a great lesson.
Some people get all confused about how to pray?
They think they need to recite?
Or, read a pray someone else has written?
Can you imagine doing that to your best friend....
They'd look at you and wonder... why you couldn't simply be yourself.

"What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer."

Just TALK to Him, he is your Best Friend, and He waits for you......

Jesus said -
"No longer do I call you servants,
for a servant does not know what his master is doing;
but I have called you FRIENDS,
for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you."
John 15:15

"Fear Not For I am With You,"
Says Jesus,
"I have redeemed you and called you by name,
YOU....  are mine."

  5. Can you imagine our awe when the day comes and we do see Jesus as He is-- Lord of all, and Son of the Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, Creator of all-- how astonished we will be that, in all His greatness and glory, we had the awesome privilege of calling him friend.

  7. What an exquisite piece of art, sweetie. I am always having chats with Him, informally. Sometimes He is the only friend that needs to hear me.

    Have a beautiful weekend.

  8. Yes, you make such a good point!!! We do not need to use flowery language or be scared. HE knows what is in our hearts anyway, he just wants us to come and tell Him! In our own words and with truthful feelings. Job did this, and had a running conversation!

  11. Good Morning, Crystal Mary!!
We are collecting our blessings today.
The image of Jesus talking to a boy by a tree is so inspirational. We indeed, have our dear Lord, Jesus Christ as our very best friend, the one who will never betray us, or stab in the back. Jesus is my leader, my rock of salvation, my fortress, my best friend. Crystal, today's Bible verses got to the point. Great inspirational post, my sweet dear friend!!
Thank you for visiting my site, and writing your kind comments and Emails!!
God keeps blessing you, Crystal sweetheart.
    All the best,
    Poet Starry Dawn.

  12. I love to think of Jesus sitting right next to me when I pray, it really gives me a clearer and closer understanding of my relationship to Him. Makes prayers more honest (with myself?).
