Gympie- Queensland- Australia
Gympie Gold Town.
In a couple of days Ray and I are off to Thailand..
Yes, golf again.
We have wonderful friends house sitting for us.
I have decided to share the town where I live.
I wish the video included our bird life..
But we who live here, tend to take it for granted.
At the town park at sunset, hundreds of Lorakeet's, Corella's
and White Cockatoo's fly in to roost for the night.
The noise is deafening...
So, here is my town..
We live approx 50 kilometers (31miles) to the Pacific Ocean.
That is, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach.
"O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me." (Psalm 139: 1-5)

Late in 2008 I began to explore and enjoy the realm of creative writing. This is something which has always been an interest yet until now,I haven't found time to indulge.
God is the cornerstone of my home and heart. He is my life and my breath, for without Him I am nothing. My desire is to edify His existence in my daily walk through life. To inspire and encourage the broken hearted. And to assist in the knowledge that EVERYTHING has a reason and a purpose under the Heavens.
We are reminded through our faith in Jesus that He will, "Turn our Mourning into Dancing and our Sorrow into Joy." Psalms 30:11. Having personally experienced tough times I know, there is truly no gain without pain.

DeleteWhat a wonderful looking place to live! I have missionary friends who live in Sydney, I think. Jack and Mary Margaret Morris were our predecessors as missionaries to Kenya, and later (when I was their Field Director) they lived in Gabaronne, Botswana. The thought occurred that you might look them up sometime if you are in Sydney. I could ask them for their phone number if you are ever going there. "Pastor Jack" as he is known, and Mary, would treat you with graciousness. Have a great trip to the golf course. Is this something you also play, or only Ray who is the golfer?
ReplyDeleteHi Fred, that is really great of you... We don't go to Sydney very often, its too far and very hectic there. But, if we should go again I will get that number off you. Only Ray is the golfer..
DeleteIf you had paid for my plane ticket...

We lived in Gladstone for five years back in the '70s but only managed to drive into Gympie a couple of times during those years. It is a lovely town. Thank you for sharing the photos and do have a wonderful and safe time in Thailand.
