The Enemy

"The thief (Enemy) comes not, but to Steal (your peace), and to Kill (your happiness), and to Destroy (your faith) but I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
John 10:10

I am sure you all know how it is to have people against you.

In this world, the Bible tells us, that satan roams like a roaring lion, waiting to devour.

There is a particular person who reads my Blog simply to tear it to pieces..

Today a friend reminded me of the Bible story of Joseph.
Joseph's father, Jacob, loved him more than all of his other children?
To show his love, Jacob made his son a beautiful coat of many colours.
This stirred jealous hatred in the heart's of Josephs brothers. So they set out to do him harm.

Note I placed a question mark after the fact that Jacob loved Joseph more than the others.
Why would this be?
There had to be a reason?
Was it because Jacob loved Josephs mother more, than his other son's mother?
Or was it because Joseph was always a person who also cared greatly for his father?
We may never know.
However, we do know, that Joseph's heart was right with God.
And, God continued to bless Joseph, on and on.

I believe the lesson here is:
"What shall we then say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Romans 8:31

So,it is always best to leave treacherous people, to God.

  1. I've learned that jealousy lies at the heart of MOST acts of meanness. The person who constantly is tearing you down is really saying that you are better than him/her and the thought causes them personal grief. Looked at in that light, that person is an unhappy soul who should be pitied. God bless you, Crystal.

  2. I agree with Gorges, that people who behave in that fashion have deficiences and weaknesses they see in themselves which cause them to be jealous of others who are gifted.

Your blog is a place of truth, beauty, laughter, and reflection. I am glad you take God's Word to heart and don't let a jealous cynic color what you do here, my friend.

    Love and blessings to you!

  3. I have not experienced this type of bullying on my blog. I don't know how I would respond.

It's very sad that someone out there is miserably existing; that he or she can't find more pleasurable ways of spending time.

We all don't have to agree with one another, however respect should be mandatory towards innocent people such as yourself.

Your words and are thought provoking, valuable, and inspired by our creator. Keep talking. :)

  6. Hi dear one,
I agree with Georges too, jealously is a huge driving factor is trying to hurt someone else.

I am sad that you are having to deal with this but your response is very honourable.

Lifting you up to God and also praying for the person who is not being nice.

    Blessings,

  7. How wise of you to see the “defeated” Enemy who is really behind this! Blessings to you for your inspirational writings and for the godly way you exposed the person who is being used by the Enemy!

  8. I like that your focus is on the heart; that it should be right with God. We know this world will bring heartache and persecution. In some ways, we should expect it to come, because Jesus told us it would. But to turn our hearts to Him means we will always receive comfort and strength to obey. Even during the hard times. Keep up the good work :)

  10. Perhaps it will be you that the Lord has sent to open his/her eyes. You never know where God sends you. Never get disheartened, Crystal, the Lord watches over you and He will give you the words to speak.

  11. how is it that we humans can get so upset over one lousy person in our lives when there are 1000 wonderful people in our lives? I suppose the reverse is true too...maybe we can be the one holy person in someones life.

  13. Greetings -

    Be encouraged, dear soul.

We all have appointments designed by GOD. The devil faithfully keeps his appointments. But thanks be unto GOD that Holy Bible doing Christians also keep our appointments to cleave to GOD and to rise above the evil one - Satan.

    1 Peter 2:8 - KJV
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

    1 Thessalonians 3:3 - KJV
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

    1 John 2:14 - KJV
...ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

  14. Hello Crystal Mary.
Yes I do know what you mean. When this was happening to me on a daily basis in person, I came to the conclusion that these people were suffering from the "Teachers pet syndrome" (my own description) You know what I mean, a child is commended for good work by the teacher and others who were not as commendable attacked him/her. Don't stress about it, they're just jealous of the fact that God has taken note of you and favors you. They'll grow up sooner or later. :)
Bless you Crystal Mary, I love your blog, Geoff.
