When Kangaroos Attack
Widow of Raymond Isaac Lindsey..... And an author since 2012 and retired Specialist Registered Nurse. I reside in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia, with my two little dogs.
Late in 2008 I began to explore and enjoy the realm of creative writing. This is something which has always been an interest yet until now,I haven't found time to indulge.
God is the cornerstone of my home and heart. He is my life and my breath, for without Him I am nothing. My desire is to edify His existence in my daily walk through life. To inspire and encourage the broken hearted. And to assist in the knowledge that EVERYTHING has a reason and a purpose under the Heavens.
We are reminded through our faith in Jesus that He will, "Turn our Mourning into Dancing and our Sorrow into Joy." Psalms 30:11. Having personally experienced tough times I know, there is truly no gain without pain.

Interesting. Does nobody have a 12 gauge shotgun down under? Either that or a good can of bear spray would sure deter them.
ReplyDeleteHello Ian, some licensed farmers have guns, but in the main, guns are band over here..
DeleteHi There, I didn't realize that Kangaroos were that dangerous... OF course, I've never seen on --except in a zoo or in photos/movies/TV, etc... Some of them are HUGE, aren't they??? Yipes...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi friend, I think people need to be aware of just what they are capable of. Hugs to you to.
DeleteScary! And I thought they were cute, kind of like a big koala bear.
ReplyDeleteThey are cute and not all behave badly.
DeleteWow! Is it unusual for the kangaroos to come so close to populated areas? Where would they normally be?
ReplyDeleteThey are normally in bushland but are wandering closer to civilization.
DeleteDear Crystal, this has to be so terrifying for the people living in that area. Here in the western United States there has been an upsurge of black bears coming into the towns and neighborhoods. It's because of the global warming that has changed the growth habits of much vegetation. I wonder what other things are going to change for us. Peace.
ReplyDeleteIn TN we had a black bear near our home..then it couldn't be found? That is something to wonder about. I thought it was because we treat them like pets when they are wild?
Deleteoh my. who knew????
ReplyDeleteThats why I posted this, tourists need to realise.
DeleteNot your average cartoon kangaroos.
ReplyDeleteNot really.
DeleteHow very scary and dangerous! Like some of your commenters have said, the theory is blown that kangaroos are cute and cuddly. It is sad the residents can't protect themselves with guns. I can't imagine living with such fear. Children playing in this area, I can't see it happening.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well, Crystal Mary! Thank you for sharing this story. ♥
Hello Cindy, We don't have kangaroos all over suburbia, they are like the deer. Outback there are lots but like the bears, you know to keep away from them. Lovely to hear from you. xxxx
