When Kangaroos Attack

  1. Interesting. Does nobody have a 12 gauge shotgun down under? Either that or a good can of bear spray would sure deter them.

    1. Hello Ian, some licensed farmers have guns, but in the main, guns are band over here..

  2. Hi There, I didn't realize that Kangaroos were that dangerous... OF course, I've never seen on --except in a zoo or in photos/movies/TV, etc... Some of them are HUGE, aren't they??? Yipes...

    Thanks for sharing.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  3. Scary! And I thought they were cute, kind of like a big koala bear.

  4. Wow! Is it unusual for the kangaroos to come so close to populated areas? Where would they normally be?

    1. They are normally in bushland but are wandering closer to civilization.

  5. Dear Crystal, this has to be so terrifying for the people living in that area. Here in the western United States there has been an upsurge of black bears coming into the towns and neighborhoods. It's because of the global warming that has changed the growth habits of much vegetation. I wonder what other things are going to change for us. Peace.

    1. In TN we had a black bear near our home..then it couldn't be found? That is something to wonder about. I thought it was because we treat them like pets when they are wild?

  6. Not your average cartoon kangaroos.

  7. How very scary and dangerous! Like some of your commenters have said, the theory is blown that kangaroos are cute and cuddly. It is sad the residents can't protect themselves with guns. I can't imagine living with such fear. Children playing in this area, I can't see it happening.

Hope you are doing well, Crystal Mary! Thank you for sharing this story. ♥

    1. Hello Cindy, We don't have kangaroos all over suburbia, they are like the deer. Outback there are lots but like the bears, you know to keep away from them. Lovely to hear from you. xxxx
