Rather, it is the story of a little girl whose parents I once knew.
I have thought much about this child over the years, and wondered if she grew up well.
So my heroin in this book, is my own creation of how I would have liked this child's journey to be.
Its not easy to write a creative story.
Especially when all I had previously written were academic assignments.
My mother studied journalism in her seventies.. and always wanted to see something of hers in print.
She never realized that dream and felt a disappointing sadness.
So this book in one sense, belongs also to her.
She has been my greatest encourager.
And now she proudly holds my book in her hands, and feels fulfilled through me.
I know my writing is not that of an acclaimed famous person.
Everyone has to begin somewhere...
It does hold a tale of love, secrecy, mystery, encouragement and inspiration all set in an Australian landscape.
This story is to encourage and inspire...THAT...
No matter where you come from in life, you can always turn bad beginnings into happy endings.
Its all a matter of...... Hope, Vision and Choice.
OR, as I have done here, in the imagination of the pen.

ReplyDeleteаdvісe: write more. Hοnestly, it seеms as if you
relіеd on the vіdeo to drivе youг point home.
It's evident you know a lot, so why not use your knowledge to write something more considerable and put the video as something supplementary (if there at all)?
Feel free to surf to my blog ... morton
Hi mate, thank you,Yes... the trailer is to introduce my book. And I have another book waiting for me to place for editing.

DeleteOh Crystal Mary...You have a lovely voice!
ReplyDeleteHow impressive that your mum studied journalism in her seventies! And what a wonderful way you have used your own talent to help fulfill her dream...You live in a beautiful place...God's amazing creation is all around you...Love those birds! I have started to publish some of my own stories on my blog...It is time to let them out into the open...It has been good therapy, and it's helping me to see how God has always been right there by my side through it all, and will never leave me...That is why I use the name 'Never Forsaken'.
~Blessings and love...happy mother's Day!~ Lisa
And it is a wonderful name...we never are forsaken, although at times when the lessons are hard, we may think we are. Praise God, for all of his goodness.
DeleteDear Crystal Mary, as "Never Forsaken" said, "you have a lovely voice." I so delighted in hearing an Auzzie speak! And the trailer is truly well done and enticing. I wish you every success with "Shadows of Time." How exciting that you have now fulfilled your mother's dream and how proud of you she must be. Peace.
ReplyDeleteHello Dee, my mum is thrilled...she deserves the very best for all that she has done for her children. Thank you for your kind words.
DeleteYou are a wonderful writer and I can't get your voice to play here, so I will do it later tonight when I get home. I am sure Shadows of Time is going to be another success. Congratulations and God's rich blessings to you, my friend!

DeleteHi Crystal, sweet dearest friend,
ReplyDeleteOh! Your Christian friendship is a real blessing to me.
I love your sweet beautiful voice, and I am looking forward to reading your masterpiece book, as soon as I get to New York in the future. Since I am Overseas, I am unable to import anything, because the Government -in our corner of the world- does not allow imports from abroad to come in. It is a bit complicated to explain, but anyway, I'll read your book in the States when I'll get there, of course, if that is God's will. Thank you so much for talking to me in Skype! I feel blessed with your awesome Christian friendship. I think God has intervened in order to find us in Blogland, and put us together in a friendship in Christ.
You know I believe in a Brotherhood of Christians in Action, not in just words alone. Actions speak louder than words. So, you are doing an incredible job when you reach out to the world with your messages worldwide, Crystal. Of course, there is always a first step for the outreach to others, then, the rewards will come in a form of many many Christian friends worlwide. I am sure your dear mom is proud of you. She holds your book in her hands as though it were an achievement within herself. Journalism is a stunning career for those who love writing. I know I do. Anyway, I visit you this day to wish you have a blessed and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY WITH YOUR BELOVED ONES, CRYSTAL!!
I am not sure whether it is Mother's Day in your corner of the world, yet it is always a pleasure to pop in your blog and say hello...
God's Richest Blessings may always abound in your life, my friend, Crystal!
I love your voice, kind personality, so cool, so lovely, so real... You are so gifted and blessed with an artistic talent. I highly appreciate our friendship in Christ.
Warm Hugs & All the Best.
My Kind Regards to your dear mother too.
In God's Garden,
Poet Starry.
