Since I grew up in New South Wales where Sydney is the capital city, I used to enjoy a nice Ferry boat ride on the harbour. The views are spectacular and just looking at these photos makes me want to go and see it again.
I am still working hard at Bible College.
My memory is not as good as it could be so I am not finding the exams easy.
I guess I need to realise my age.
And, the Bush Fires are still flourishing in New South Wales. They are not close to Sydney but hundreds of acres have perished and many homes with a few lives.
Our kangaroos are fast enough to escape danger.
But the koala's don't fare as well.
In case you don't know? Koala's get their fluid supply from the gum leaves, they have
to be extremely thirsty to drink like this little fellow.
To all of our brave Firies (fire fighters)....may God protect you.
Some overseas News reports say that the whole of Australia is on fire..
Not True..... We are a big country and bigger than many people realise.
The colors are a bit much for an old curmudgeon like me, but I like the design. My heart goes out to the firies, the wildlife affected and those who are losing what they've worked their lives to gain. My prayers are with them and you.
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear brother.
DeleteI LOVE all the colours and designs on the Opera House. The Sydney Opera House (photos and in person) has always made me smile and given me joy so happy 40th! Good luck with your studies and I pray that the wildfires will be put out soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Those fires are horrendous.

ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, We have feral camels running wild all over the outback. I took this photo near Alice Springs central Australia. I know you are a camera buff...we are so blessed with these digital pics today.
DeleteBeautiful colors! I have been praying the fires are extinguished, and soon. We just got a new puppy- and Australian Blue Heeler named Tyson. Love my Ozzie friends!
ReplyDeleteI pray that Tyson gives you many years of happiness. I love his name. x
DeleteWhat a lovely celebration. I love your photos! Sorry about the fires too. This is always sad when homes and people are in its wake. Thank you for sharing with us here at "Tell me a Story."

ReplyDeleteHello Susie, the colours are lights, and its amazing how they can create such a variety.
DeleteHi Crystal, dear friend,
ReplyDeleteThe Sydney Opera House looks spectacular. I did not know that you lived closed to the capital city of Australia. It must have been an exciting childhood over there. About the forest fires, it is very sad to hear what is going on about that. Poor Koalas, who suffer a great deal of consequences of nature damages!
Thank you so much for visiting my sites, and writing your heartfelt comments, sweetheart!
God may always bless you, your dear family and beloved ones!
Blessings,
Poet Starry Dawn.
Hello Starry, I live a long way from there now, but that is my home .. I grew up on a farm about 30miles from Sydney.

Well I am more impressed by your life in the Lord Jesus and this has made me to share about the ministry we have in the slums of Mumbai to the poorest of poor giving hope, future and new life to the broken hearted people. I am in the Pastoral ministry for last 34yrs in the great city of Mumbai, India a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live.We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young people as well as adults from the developed countries to come on a short / long term missions trip to work with us in the slums of Mumbai amongs poorest of poor. We would love to have you come and encourage our women in the church as well as help us in reaching out the poorest of poor with the love of Christ. My email id is : dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar Wankhede. Looking forward to hear from you very soon.
ReplyDeleteHello Diwakar, Lovely to meet you also. I am no longer a young woman and am feeling my age. I am in Bible College in the town where Iive, and it has been a struggle to keep up with the work load. I will no longer travel oversea's due to my health and the expense. My husband and I are commited to help four children in different countries, so we cannot take on any more commitments. There are so many needs and we have allways helped the best we can. I will pray for you though, and there is nothing beyond what God can do. Blessings to you and your people.
DeleteI am so glad to see the pretty pics of the opera house....thanks for the info about the fires...the koala bears are so cute
