Last weekend I had the privilege to meet Mary at a Faith writers workshop in Brisbane.
Such a natural friendly radiating Christian, her light shines.
Mary a retired registered nurse has been writing inspirational romance for the past twenty years. Understanding the difficulties entailed in how to write and sell your book, Mary is all too keen to encourage new inspiring authors (like myself).
She shared an accumulation of knowledge and experience, for which I for one, truly appreciated.
She signed her latest book "Return to Baragula" personally for me.
For anyone who may be interested in reading more on the Australian outback and way of life, this book is available from Amazon.com.
The story is about love, forgiveness and God's Amazing grace.
So come visit the outback in story.
Walk down a road of love and life.
Hi Crystal,
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are having a wonderful Sunday...I loved the story about your childhood...and this is so great that you got to meet this special author--what a blessing!!
Love,
Cindy
Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend away. I love that photo of the outback with the purple rocks in the background.
ReplyDeleteDear Crystal,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your posting - Mary and I are old writing buddies - In fact we once had novels published in the same collection!! I think it was called Christmas Dreams for Barbour Publishing. We communicated for many years but... during the last few we have sadly lost contact of one another. But this puts me in mind to see if she has a website...and to try and contact her again!
She is a very special lady - and a great writer - and I'm so glad you got the chance to meet her.
Blessings!
Ann
Best wishes Crystal. Hope you're keeping well.

Wow, Crystal! Only arrived home this morning and saw a google alert to your blog! It was great seeing you in Qld and thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement - and to all the others who commented also!
ReplyDeleteA special "Hi" to Ann! Yes, my Search For The Star is in Christmas Dreams. That is the only Barbour book with a story of mine still in print. :( And I have not checked for a long time but I doubt if my recent books published by Ark House Press here in Australia are still available overseas as they no longer have a distributor there. Another :-(.
I do have copies to sell but postage of course is now very expensive!
