Depression.....
Can result from Grief and Loss
And yet often, as depicted in this song and animation, the very thing we dream about, the thing we grieve over, the thing we sorrow for, in reality, is not real!!
Are you stagnant?? Do you mourn over something in your life that is no longer there?
Move on...
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
Psalm 51:10
I like that...move on. The animation in that clip was exquisite!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,

Yes, whining for what should have been or could of been and wishing you could go back is a waste of time. God tends to tell us to remember He is in charge the best is yet to come. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the comments here. great post!
ReplyDeleteDear Crystal,

Crystal Mary thank you for this really neat video. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful videoclip, Crystal.
ReplyDeleteI was just reading in the paper today that normal life situations, grieving after a loss etc, that people have to work through, are being treated as depression and getting people onto the drug merry-go-round.
Hugs and blessings,
Jan
What an inspiring post. Have a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Crystal Mary...your video has spoken to me. Thank you and God bless.

ReplyDeleteBeen thinking and praying for you a lot over the last week.

... Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ... (Matthew 11:28).
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It looks like he was still holding on to the one he loved and couldn't let her go and move on with his life.
ReplyDeleteIt seem sad how he couldn't let go the past, the memories of her by his side that only torments him with every thought of her.
At least this is how I see it. It reminds me of someone who had lost his wife or girlfriend...so sad.
But only God's love can fill this void for us.
Blessings,
Paul
Weeping lasts for the night but joy comes in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThere is a time to weep and a time to laugh.
We do need to flow with the seasons of our lives.
Grief is for a season, but we sin when we prolong it, staying in grief longer than we should. What a waste of kingdom time.
THis post is short but profound.
Thank you.
Love

Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.
ReplyDeleteDear sweet Crystal,
ReplyDeleteI have found this post a great food for thoughts, since it is a thought provoking post.
Perhaps, we all might know about depression, grief and other sad feelings. I know we must overcome and endure the pain, in order to gain a stronger heart and face our life again. The past is history, the future is uncertain, so we only have today. Let's make the best of it!! You always post wonderful thoughts and themes. One of my favourites is one of your older post with your beautiful mother playing the harmmonica with lovely tunes. You show pictures of your dear mom when she was younger with her gorgeous 5 children. You were one of them with your most beautiful blonde hair and a gorgeous face. You are still a very good looking lady. I see your face standing out with a big smile in your avatar. The video with your 93-year-old mother is more than superb!! Thank you so much for sharing part of your world with the whole world, sweet Crystal!! My dear aunts passed away in 2008. One was 96, and the other one was 95. They were musicians and Opera Soprano Singers like my grandmother. They played at Church, Weddings, Birthdays and other events. One was a Concertist Piano player, and my other auntie was a Guitar player. They still played until 94 before going into a Nursing Home. God bless them!! Now, they are in Heaven with the Lord, and with my dear parents. I was left alone without family, since I have no siblings, and my only daughter and 3 grandchildren live in New York far away from me. You see, many people do have reasons to get depressed in their lives. Depression is not only in the imagination of one. Depression comes from the lack of Serotonine in the Brain. I have a homemade recipe for that, I call it: "A chocolate cake, tea with honey and good music, instead of depression." I have justed given you a prompt to write something about it. I know I will. Thank you again sweetheart Crystal, for sharing the best of you!! God bless you, your dear mother, and all your beloved ones!!
I hope your husband is back from the States with you. You must miss him a lot...
Thank you for joining my blogs, Crystal dear!!
All the Best.
Until we write again.
Starry Dawn.
Thank you all for your contributions..
ReplyDeleteI am getting so busy and will continue to do so because I will shortly be returning to assist others in a counselling position.
I have written about depression on my Health Issues Blog, I pray it gives much help to many.
May the Lord Bless and keep you.
Crystal Mary no one stands for the ideals stated on the Light of the World button more than you. I would like for you to come back and pick up the button. I did not forget you when I sent them out but had planned to notify several others later. If you would choose to take this put it where ever you choose. It is on my sidebar for the taking. I love the idea of blogging about faith and you are definitely a consoling angel to many.
