Thailand and the East, is unique, and very different to the western world.
It's great for a holiday and a change.
From the old world to the new....lots of smiles and laugher.
Out of town toilet...and difficult for a woman to use.
A modern toilet with no wall. It looks out on a goldfish pond...lovely.
Under the street arches.

This was mostly our travel for comfort.. and the air-con.

Thailand Visit.
Widow of Raymond Isaac Lindsey..... And an author since 2012 and retired Specialist Registered Nurse. I reside in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia, with my two little dogs.
Late in 2008 I began to explore and enjoy the realm of creative writing. This is something which has always been an interest yet until now,I haven't found time to indulge.
God is the cornerstone of my home and heart. He is my life and my breath, for without Him I am nothing. My desire is to edify His existence in my daily walk through life. To inspire and encourage the broken hearted. And to assist in the knowledge that EVERYTHING has a reason and a purpose under the Heavens.
We are reminded through our faith in Jesus that He will, "Turn our Mourning into Dancing and our Sorrow into Joy." Psalms 30:11. Having personally experienced tough times I know, there is truly no gain without pain.

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is different. There is the extreme poverty and the wealth. I find this sad, so Ray and I give carefully.
DeleteI didn't want to post or to boast, we are blessed now as we get older to be able to do this. As a group booking it is cheap. A meal cost about $3-6 Au or US.. very cheap.
The hotel accomodation looks great. If I were there I would really need the comfort and air con of the bus too! I know what you mean about the toilets but at least in that one you can hop up there and hopefully avoid the stuff on the floor getting on to your clothes. One can hope :-))
ReplyDeleteI was terrified of the toilets..especially with my bad knee..But I have to laugh at the culture shock.
DeleteAw yes, I should have thought of that too with my bad knee. I really don't like squatting though like they have those kind in India and Africa and probably elsewhere. Squatting is okay if you grew up that way but not if your first time is in your fifties or older! LOL
DeleteI tell you, I was terrified I wouldn't make it up and might have to yell for help LOL
DeleteWow, this takes me back 40 years to the days when I got to see a lot of Thailand from Chiang Mai to Pattaya Beach courtesy of the USAF.
ReplyDeleteLovely to meet you Chip.. you need to return and enjoy in different times.
DeleteThose toilets look clean! When we travelled to Beijing China the public toilets were filthy and totally disgusting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics and it looks like you are having a fantastic time.
Have fun!!
<><
Thanks mate.
DeleteI like your hotel right on the water. The traffic in Thailand can be very dangerous and I'm glad you had a safe journey.
ReplyDeleteYes the traffic is a wonder to behold..Just close your eyes and trust your driver..No way would I try it on my own.
DeleteThese are neat pics to see...Oh the toilet would be difficult for me. The travel looks good
ReplyDeleteHiya Kim, It was very good.
DeleteWonderful, Crystal, that you had this fantastic opportunity to see how the rest of the world lives. I've seen very similar (almost as good) toilets in Africa and must say they are not only difficult for women - but from the ssmell you can tell that men have a hard time with their aim too! ☻
ReplyDeleteGood onya Fred... Hope you are feeling better.
DeletePeeps who are able to travel and mingle with cultures other than their own, send photo tours with commentary, back to the "old folks at home".
ReplyDeleteThis is a service to others, so interesting to us who fantasize and dream about far-away places. That looks like a floating hotel. Certainly you are enjoying your time "On the World Road Again".
Do you find that humans are the same, wherever you go? (I thought you had moved to Thailand!)
PEACE, Mary!
Hiya Steve..Its a different world and very interesting. NO, no moving to Thailand...I love Oz too much to move again. Bless ya mate.
DeleteDear Crystal, it looks as if you're having a great time, thanks for the beautiful pics, definitely different! God bless x
ReplyDeleteHi Nicky, Yes a great time..and met many wonderful new friends..The ladies with me were a joy.
DeleteHi, Ms. Crystal....just wanted to stop by and say hello and find you're away. HOPE you're feeling lots better by now. And, I totally agree...the only way to heaven is thru JESUS and HIS shed blood!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that Deb! xx

ReplyDeleteCulture shock, You're telling me. The toilets look gross, the Tuk tuks though are something we could do with here in Cape Town.
I'll do a post about Tanzania with pictures, your culture shock won't seem so bad. :)
Bless you Crystal Mary, I do enjoy your writing very much, Geoff.
I reckon the TUK TUK would be a blessing in Cape Town.. good thought!
