Rejoicing in Jesus

So sorry,
I am still unwell and can't be bothered much with anything.
Whatever happens, I am in the Lords hands and what could be better?

Its raining on and off and the Galah's come flying in making a great noise.
This photo is off the electrical wire's outside my home.

My granddaughter Kirra and her hubby Benj are over in Thailand for a few months.
Kirra teaches school with Destiny Rescue and Benj works with his kick boxing.

Benj is the Australian Thai Kick boxing champion.

No, he doesn't box these ladies.

Philippians 3:7-10

"But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.     What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ  and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—                      the  righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.                                                  I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death."

There is a beautiful hymn based on these words. Last week I began to feel sorry for myself and cry. Then this song we sing in church came to mind. I began to sing it and since then God's peace and contentment has taken over.

  1. Blessing to you. I am so sorry you are still unwell. Here a poem for you:

If God brings us home from our captivity,
    that will be a dream.
If God brings us home from our exile,
    that will be a dream.
We will sing, laugh, be happy.
Then says the world: "Their God does miracles."
Yes, thou doest wonders God in our midst,
    Thou our joy.

Bring us home, turn to our lives,
    like rivers in the desert
that, as the rain falls, streams go again

Who sows in sorrow shall reap in joy.
A man goes his way and sow with tears.
Singing he returns with his precious sheaves

Big hug from your Dutch sister in Christ.

  10. Dear Crystal Mary, I've been away from reading and commenting on blogs for several weeks and now I've returned to discover that you have been and are ill. I'm so sorry to learn this. And I'm so hopeful that even as I type this you are feeling more yourself. Please be gracious to yourself. I know your faith sustains you, and I trust that you are taking care of yourself with plenty of water and rest and with a mind that is at peace and not searching and seeking for answers, simply being. Peace.
