The Phenomenon of Death

Are you afraid to die?

SOUL and SPIRIT leaving the body.

So many of us think of death as the END.

My own Christian mother had a terror of it, yet as she reached the time when she was to go at 98years old  she welcomed it. She even had a Christian nurse pray for God to take her home.
Before she left for Glory she continually asked me, "Tell me about Heaven.".

So I would tell her everything I'd read in the Bible about its beauty. I would tell her what I had heard from the many people who had had an out-of-the-body experience, and how they loved Heaven.
I told her of the rivers of gold, the glorious perfection and how these people never wanted to return to earth.

As a teenager I was often afraid of this unknown phenomenon. I would picture myself in a coffin under the ground unable to get out, mistakenly buried alive.

I am sure many of you readers may have experienced some of the same fears!!

Why do we cling so strongly to wanting to remain in this world??

Yes! God made a beautiful world, that's undeniable.

Yet, many evil people have also made it ugly, with violence and hatred.

The  thievery, brutality, violence and killing of people they don't even know.

The cold uncaring hearts that revel in this idiocracy.

When our beloved sick are suffering. We pray for them to live. We want to keep them with us.
Do we pray for their reason?  OR do we pray for our own!

The Apostle Paul, when an old man, and chained to a guard in a dank cold prison, said this.

 "But if I live,
I can do more fruitful work for Christ.
So I really don’t know which is better.
I’m torn between two desires:
I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. 

But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live.
Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of your faith." Philippians 1:22-25 (NLT) checked that (KJV is same)

AT DEATH

Our body goes to sleep in the earth.
Our Spirit (created in God's image) goes to Heaven - when we are His believers.
Our Soul (the us, who we are, our personality) returns to God.

Eternity is forever.
Forever in heaven or forever in hell.

Choose God, read the New Testament first if you are unfamiliar with the Bible.

Life and Death

Life is something we take for granted.

Try and tell a young person NOT to text or use a cell phone while driving and they take no notice.

Try to tell ANYONE that life can be blown-away in a minute, a second or the blink of an eye.

Where to then?

Some believe there is NOTHING after that.

But what if there is.

What IF Hell exists??
A place of Everlasting torment - worse that what you can imagine.

What if Heaven exists??
A Place of Everlasting Happiness.

THINK NOW - Because it could be too late in ten minutes.

 DEATH - The body is finished.  The Spirit and Soul live on.

LIVE FOREVER

We all have a choice. I choose Jesus who gave his life for me.

John 3:16 is a verse many know - yet have you ever really thought about the words?

For GOD so loved the world - That He GAVE His ONLY Begotten son.

That, whosoever BELIEVES in HIM - HAS ETERNAL LIFE.

YES! we NEVER die ..  There is no such thing as death when we truly understand this.

Christians, those who believe in Jesus and what God has done for them, never die!!

Yes, this earthy body goes into the grave, or wherever.

But, our spirit (created in the image of God) and our soul (us, our personality) go to paradise, a beautiful place that God has prepared for those who return His love.

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 

14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 

9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 

10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Flood Update

Just to give an update on the floods here in my state of Queensland.

As previously informed. Queensland is two and a half time the size of Texas.
Yes, its a huge state!!
At this time where I live in the middle section of the state known at the Sunshine Coast, there has been no rain for two days now, BUT, we are still flooded.
And we are still cut off. No food supplies in.
Our capitol of Brisbane is now under deluge.
All in all 75% of this state is under water and approximately 100,000 homes.
It is devastating and many of the News Readers look as if they have been crying.

The main Highway looks like a river. light poles are reflected in the water.

Reflections in the water make it look pretty. It makes you cry.

Thank God it is school holidays otherwise many parents would likely be searching for children.

Last night my grandson Elyshah 16yrs rang me from New South Wales where he is holidaying to find out if we were safe.

He lives here also, so I am very glad he is away and safe.

                      Elyshah, Joel and Luke, grandsons. All six foot and over.

Elyshah informed me that many are predicting the end of the world in 2012??
I informed him, that the end comes anyhow, at the time of our death!!
whenever that may be???
(Yes I do believe, there will be an 'End of theWorld')
None of us know, the day or the hour.
When a catastrophe hits, it gives a wake-up call.

Where do you stand in relation to your belief???
My heart falls when a person answers, I believe in evolution.
I say this to them.....
If I am wrong, then I have lost nothing...
But if you are wrong you face eternity separated from God and love.


WAKE-UP!!

The Day and Hour Unknown

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 

 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.

That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 
Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 
 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.    
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
(Matthew 24: 36-44)

None of us know the day or the hour of our death!!
AND THAT IS THE END OF THE WORLD!!
For myself, I look forward to meeting the Lord.
Being embraced and welcomed into Glorious Heaven.
No more pain or sadness. No more hurt.
I, and my family are safe. Power is off to many.
We have problems connecting to the Internet.
We have problems staying connected!!
