Nine years ago she was
left for dead and Maddison Baer gained a life. It wasn’t her real life, but it
was more than she’d had before. Pretending to care about her looks and social
lifestyle was sometimes more exhausting than fun. Lying to her only real friend
was hard, but if it kept her safe, she could do it.
Then there was Ryan Gramble. A man that made
Maddison speechless.
Ryan has spent years running from one challenge
to another. He’s come to Chandler County to face and deal with his previous
traumas and come from under his family’s overprotective wing. He has used his
love for horses as a way to treat himself and others with equine therapy. He
prides himself on his ability to read people. Still, he isn’t ready for Dr. Maddison Baer,
with that beautiful face and those disturbingly familiar eyes…that lie.
Their attraction is instantaneous, but neither
is willing to pursue what they believe is an ill-fated relationship. That is,
until danger comes perilously close to Maddison and she is forced to seek
refuge amongst the lights and glitter of Chandler County at Christmas. As the
threat looms Ryan steps up to keep Maddison safe only to find that they are in
danger of falling for one another.
Will they give in and accept the gift they’ve
been denying themselves?
This inspirational interracial romantic suspense
is part of the Chandler County multi-author branded series. This
standalone is my third book in this series.
Author
Traci Wooden-Carlisle
Traci
Wooden-Carlisle began writing poetry and short stories as soon as she was able
to form words on paper. She used that as a way to creating worlds, as well as,
to communicate with God.
She began writing to
publish in 2011 and enjoys writing stories that provoke thought and evoke
emotions. Her desire is to draw readers into the lives of her characters and
share messages of God’s love, His faithfulness and peace. The messages in her
books speak to her way before they speak to her readers. Traci lives in San Diego with her husband,
David. When she isn’t writing she does some light traveling or assists people
with their physical fitness, creates graphics, designs pretty things for her
jewelry business and swag for authors.
The most encouraging blessing to an author is to read a uplifting review.
My latest book (Post below,) is soaring. However, it needs reviews. So I felt very happy when I read this one. The book does have another three - 5STAR wonderful reviews.
5-Stars! “A Great Faith Fiction! In author Crystal Mary Lindsey's The Mystery Healer of Smoky Mountain we read a tender-hearted story, which I believe was written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. For Marni Granger's journey up the mountain... how she was lead there and all that happened shows readers God's blessings.
That this author was able to show us the unseen blessings of Lord is a testament to her faith and made me a fan for life. If you're looking for an author whose work will build-up your faith, I highly recommend Crystal Mary Lindsey!
Yes, all my books are written under the Holy Spirit influence.
The things I don't do as an author, that most authors do.
I don't map a story out.
I don't work out my characters prior the story.
I don't have an office to write in.
I don't set times apart to write.
What I do.
I begin to write and the story unfolds itself as do the characters.
My hubby has taken over the office, and its a mess.
So I write on a lap-top while sitting in my recliner.
(I haven't been well for a long time)
I count my blessings, I praise God and talk or sing to him constantly.
AMAZING GRACE
When I look at one of my stories, down the line, long after its published, I can't believe that which is written, actually comes from me. Well... that's how I know its from the Holy Spirit.
Gods grace is sufficient. ALWAYS..
I LOVE TO READ COMMENTS so don't be shy, you are important to me. (Just as you are to our Heavenly Father.)
I have written eight books
Not many of my books have been recognized or read.
Does this mean I am a poor author?
Well, I am not rich in the world's eyes, yet that doesn't matter.
Has the fact that no one reads or comments on my books by writing reviews hurt me?
It has.
BUT, it shouldn't.
I may be dead before anyone actually benefits from what I have written, isn't that the fact about the Apostle Paul's writings?
The scriptures have taken a long time to be recognized for what they are.
However, I am NOT in league with any great Bible teacher or author, I am only a small human 💖🙋 who desires to encourage and inspire others through what I write.
Today I felt down. Then listening to a television preacher's uplifting words my heart soared.....
He said, it can take time. He said that we are to keep praising God in the mean while.
Then he told of, how a dog will only take a few weeks to have puppies, and when it has those puppies, it will give birth to many- a litter, even up to eighteen. Yet they are small.
Unlike the dog (who could boast about how well it has done), the elephant will take two years to give birth (seemingly forever). When it eventually delivers, it produces only ONE!
Yet that ONE is soooo BIG!🐘
What does this tell us.
Sometimes it takes time for big things to happen. God has everything under His great control. 🙆
We, have a USER WORD, into the presence of God.... and that Word is JESUS. 💓
We are not left high and dry getting past the Userword... NO! we are given a PASSWORD right into the presence of God. That Password is PRAISE.
All of this is a FREE gift. We pay nothing to get it. It is given with love.
As we praise God and worship Jesus, no matter our circumstances, we defeat the demons that would like to drag us down. So keep on Praising no matter what you see or feel. No matter how difficult it may be, and God will LIFT you up.
Do you know that song. "Give thanks with a grateful heart give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks because he's given Jesus Christ his son."
Well, I know how hard it is for an author to sell their books and since reviews help, I review to help others.
Many authors approach me for reviews.
I have come to a place where I now ask for a review back in return for mine. Is this fair? I believe it is.
AND...many who I ask the return favour from, will not read and review mine.
It seems we have a selfish world.
So WHY, should anyone read and review my books..
Well, if they enjoy to read a fictional, Christian romance story, with many twists and turns, suspense, and if unable to work out the completion, then MY two Romance books are excellent reads.
How do I know that my books are good reads??
Well for one thing, I say what I have to say in them without waffling on.
Have you ever read a book that takes four pages to read - when it could take one?
Besides this, what reviews that I do have, are mainly 5 stars, so which is a good indication.
How much money does an author earn.
Let me tell you, its not as much as people think.
I earn between $2 - $4 a book, so for an author to earn as much as it cost to get the book published and available, they need to sell hundreds of copies.
The authors who do well, are the authors who sell in the thousands and millions.
