Love - the Greatest Gift.

Hello all.
Well some of you will know that Ray took a turn on Sunday night.
I woke up with him thrashing in the bed beside me.
I can talk about it now, as he is coherent and hopefully recovering. Thanks to prayer.
Tomorrow he comes home from hospital.
There may be more tests for him?
But beyond all doubt, he knows he is loved, and love is the greatest gift of all.
Real love....love in word.... and love in action.

Everyone in our world, desires above all else, to be loved.
Some can tell us this, and others hold it inside, crying out for someone to show them..they are LOVED.

Since I love animals, and since they all need to be loved as well..... lets share the love around.
Hello, does anybody love me??

When I'm afraid, my daddy on two legs, loves me.

A Miracle

Miracle surgery performed on a baby utero...
After the surgeon finished the baby's hand reached out to clasp his finger.
A tiny life...
How beautiful ..
How amazing.

Its almost as if the baby said,  "thank you."

"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother's womb."
Psalm 139:13

A Boy Called Ricky

I will alway and forever, remember Ricky's name.
We lived in a country area on a small farm when my children were growing up.
There was a dirt road out front and one day I noticed a little boy walking past on his way to school.
This was at eight in the morning and school didn't go in until 9am.

After seeing him on a couple of occassions, one day I called out to him and asked where he was going.
"I have to go to school," he told me.
"Your too early." I replied, "Come inside and I'll take you with mine when its time," I called.
He did come in, telling me he would get a hiding if his father found out.
I told him not to worry, I wouldn't tell him.

My children sat at the table eating their breakfast, and Ricky stared.
So I gave him breakfast also, which he ate flat out as if it was going to disappear.
Then I got the children into the car and drove them all to school.

My son Peter began telling me that Ricky was stealing food from the garbage bins.
Then for a few weeks after this, we saw nothing of Ricky.
One morning I saw him walking to school again, this time his head was shaved.
I brought him into the house to talk to him.
This time he shook and cried as he told me how his father have beaten his puppy to death the night before.

That and Ricky having a shaved head was the last straw for me.
It wasn't as easy to report child abuse back then.
So I called the school nurse and told her the whole story.

Ricky was taken off his parents and his father made a point of calling into my house early one evening.
This was my first and last sighting of him.
He had tatoos all over his arms and looked like a jail bird.
He told me Ricky had been taken off them, and asked if I knew anything about it.
I told him I knew nothing.
Months later the nurse told me Ricky suffered a lot of psychological damage.
He'd had a hard time adjusting, and had torn off small pieces of his bed sheets, trying to eat them.
I don't know what happened to Ricky after that? But every now and then I think of that little boy.
Every time I think of him I pray for him. I believe he would be about 40 yrs old today.
I pray he has a happy life.

Killer Cell Phones

How many of you reading this, use a cell phone ? ?

I don't usually connect my Blogs, BUT PLEASE, see my Health Blog > > on Right >
And listen to the important message from Dr Devra Davis, about the danger of cell phones..
Many allow children to talk on them...
And play games on them ...

Would they give their child a cigarette to smoke?
Or a piece of asbestos to sniff?

We know the health hazards with the use of cigarettes and asbestos !!
But we are still in the dark about Cell and IPhones....and cancer and tumors.

After you hear what this aclaimed doctor tells about this, it will sicken  and shock you.

BIG MONEY is made from selling Cell Phones....
And where there is money involved,  no one cares about the danger.

PLEASE GO TO MY HEALTH BLOG LISTEN TO DR DAVIS..> >

From Abuse To Conqueror

I have only ever worked a few shifts in Pediatrics, and that was when they were short staffed.
I never liked working with sick children.
Why?? You might ask?
Because many children suffer abuse, and I find that very hard to tolerate..

When this book, "A Child Called It." came to my attention, I, like many, were curious.
I bought it on Kindle, and read it. Or rather, I skipped through reading it....
It is very graphic, violent, specific and full of evil child abuse.
While I believe that most of this is true.
I also believe that some of it is fabricated to make a good story.
But beyond that, this child survived against impossible odds..
Why would a mother single out one of her children and treat him in such an inhuman way?
How could a father, turn a blind eye and not stop the cruelty?
There are many wonders of Why?

After reading/glossing over, the first book, I wanted to read the second one to see if David faired better in Forster care?  I wanted to know what became of him and I wanted to know if his mother was justly punished?

David went on to become a special person...
One who not only overcame, but one who went on to achieve, and be honoured.
Many of us would be proud to have such a son as this..
Yet his mother never was.
All she ever wanted to do, was destroy him, in fact, she wanted to killed him.
She didn't go this far, because she was clever enough to know, she wouldn't get away with it.

I believe that God had a purpose for this boy to live.
In him was built a will to survive. In him was build a heart of courage.
And out of him has come encouragement to other abused children.
To Never Give Up, and Always Do Your Best.
Its not who you are born to be (unwanted).  Its who you desire to be (a Star).

Joni Eareckson Tada.

I have always had tremendous respect for Joni since reading her first book on her life, many years ago.
At eighteen years old, she dived into shallow water and broke her neck severing her spinal cord.
She thought she was going to drown.
For a young teenage girl with her whole life in front of her, she was now a quadriplegic.
She wanted to die.
Instead, she has gone on to be, an inspiration to many, by encouraging and spreading the gospel.

Ray and I are privileged to own two of her pencil-in-mouth drawings.
I am sure many of you know her story and have read her books.

So remember, when life gets you down, instead of denying God, blaming Him or turning away..
Remember, you are special, just like Joni, with His love to share.
You are, a shining star.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord"
Romans 8:38-39

Lindy Chamberlain Offically Innocent!

Many Many of us, never ever believed Lindy Chamberlain was guilty of the death of her two months old daughter..Azaria.   Killed by a Dingo in 1980.
Praise God she has now been officially declared NOT GUILTY.
Many children have been attacked by Dingo's.

All the evidence at the time, proved Lindy innocent..
And yet.. The Australian Justice System, charged her guilty and this poor grieving lady, served time in prison.
A Public apology is not enough!!

I am writing this in support of a mother wrongly sentenced..
May God surround this family with His love and Peace.

Attacks on humans (Wikopedia)as of 25th April, 2012

Below is a partial list of dingo attacks and alleged dingo attacks that occurred in Australia, in reverse chronological order.
Name, age Date Species Location, comments
4 year old female April 2007
Fraser Island, severely bitten[10]
9 year old male April 2001
Waddy Point on Fraser Island, attacked and killed by two dingoes[11]
Azaria Chamberlain, 2 month old August 1980
Ayers Rock (Uluru), famous case, mother initially convicted of the murder, but later exonerated. Official verdict of death is "unknown", but the parents believe a dingo was responsible.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1John 4:8

I believe this family were Persecuted and crucified by the media, because they were strong Christians. The husband of Lindy and father of Azaria at the time, was a Church Pastor.  C.M.L

If I had My Life To Live Over !

I'd pick more Daisies...

If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time. I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I'm one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely, hour after hour, day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had to do it over again, I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day.
I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.
If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.
By : Nadine Stair.

And... I would sit back and trust God more with my troubles.

Don't mess with a BIG Roo

This big fellow was across the road from my house in my neighbors yard.
You wouldn't want to mess with him.
Just look at the muscles, and he eats mainly grass.
Hubby Ray and granddaughter Shiarny, didn't want to get too close.

Males are called Boomers, Jacks or Bucks.
If this one had stood up on his hind legs he would have been close to 6 foot.

This eastern Grey can jump up to nine metres (29 feet) in one bound, and can reach speeds of nearly 50 km/h (30 mph).

A QUEEN IN EVERY WAY

Queen Elizabeth the second, is a queen in every way.
Never, has she brought a single blot on the Royal family.
I have always admired her good manners and breeding.
Now she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee and we in Australia celebrate with her.
She is our monarch and has earned the respect of all of us.

As a child, I stood in line every morning at school while the Australian flag was raised and we sang,
God Save the Queen....

Rejoicing in My World.

I open the windows summer and winter, because I love the outdoors..
This looks out from my dinning room, to the top side garden and pointsettia's.

Yes, we are in the first month of winter.. and the days are warm, but the nights are starting to get chilly.
We never get it very cold, so have much to be thankful for.

Its hard to believe that I cut back the poinsettia from out back and planted a couple of sticks that have become this!  What a beautiful show.
By the time winter is over and summer comes again, this bushy shrub will be even thicker than it is now.

I just had to add some fun... Care for a camel ride along the Sunshine Coast Beach, Queensland - The trip is 75miles long and looks out on the Pacific Ocean.. A white sandy beach stroll. People pitch their tents all along the national parks that look onto this view.
And the camels, when they were imported here to Australia in the 19th century from Arabia, India and Afganistan for transport and heavy work in the outback.
Today over one million ferral camels run free. Camel meat and milk is used in various ways.
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
